Junk Art Cards

One of my favorite things to do is write my friends and the store manufactured cards just do not express enough.

Each Junk Art card has recycled magazine images sewn onto Conqueror Diamond White card stock paper. Envelops are also hand made with address label sewn on. Packaged in a clear protective sleeve also good if you are buying this as a gift.

Junk art is made up of materials that we would normally discard as trash. The Postwar European School masters like Jean Dubuffet (1901-85) introduced junk art (Brute Art) into the high art world in the early 20th century.

Magazine publications are a reflection of aspects of our society. What we grow up with, what influences us, what we celebrate, and relate to. We look through magazines then merely toss the hundreds of hours that editors, writers, photographers, graphic designers sweat over. It is a dispensable art form that I love and respect.
