Program Coupons

The marketing department comes to me with finance programs they create to move Trucks. It is my job to create a coupon layout for the Daimler Truck Financial (DTF) programs. Most of the coupons are co-branded programs and I have to respect the many brand idenity rules. In the end, I try to create an over all excitement for the customer to be using DTF financing.

Process
When I send coupons to the commerical printers because of variable data and quantity, I go through the digital press. This keeps the cost down for print projects that are not run at a high volume. When the budget is small and the quantity is manageable, I print in-house on the Xerox or Richo printer. Then they are cut out by hand with a Prio cutter.

Buck Slips
Buck slips consist of a single or double sided sheet of paper usually cut in thirds to 8-1/2" x 3-2/3" (about the size of a dollar bill, hence the name). When your communication letter is lengthy, the buck slip can quickly summarize your major points. And since the buck slip is almost always glanced at before your message is saved or chucked, you have an excellent chance to ask for that communication action, and to give excellent reasons to use your company.

Buck Slips are always printed in the commerical print houses becaseu of the volme they are produced at.
